Stony Plain Golf Course has always had an outstanding junior program.  The tournament moved to a Monday in 2011 for the first time, as there had just become too much demand for tee times for the club to justify giving up an entire Sunday afternoon for their Junior Open.

Stony Plain has hosted  several major Alberta Golf and Golf Canada events, so the course will undoubtedly be in first class condition, and the greens will be VERY fast!  Their signature hole is the 180-yard par-3 #14, all carry over water to a well-bunkered green.

The 2018 Tournament was an afternoon shotgun start commencing at 2 p.m. and we have confirmed that  the 2019 tournament will  be a 2 p.m.shotgun start as well.

We lengthed out the course somewhat for the boys the last couple of years, as the White tees we had used the last several years are perhaps not quite the test we should have for the kids at this event.  Stony always attracts a strong field of players.

Code of Conduct

The McLennan Ross Junior Golf Tour takes great pride in the quality of its competitors, its host facilities, and the support provided by our Corporate Partners. The efforts of the administrative staff and the volunteers that go into making the Tour so successful demand a very high standard of behavior and decorum from the competitors. We have therefore developed a formal Code of Coduct modeled on that of Alberta Golf that provides a set of guidelines for the young men and women that wish to compete in McLennan Ross Junior Golf Tour events.
