Regular Season Ends in Nanton With Exciting Playoff

The regular season for the 2018 McLennan Ross Junior Golf Tour, Presented by Crowe MacKay, came to an exciting conclusion today in Nanton. Richard Dou of The Winston GC in Calgary rolled in a 10-foot birdie putt on the first hole of a sudden-victory playoff to knock off his good friend Arthur Deng of the Glencoe GCC. Both players had tied for first with scores of 76 on a beautiful sunny morning at the Nanton club. Devin Kucy of Camrose finished solo third with a 79. In the junior girls' division, Brynne Davies of Earl Grey won her third Tour event of the summer with a 90. It was a long drive home from Nanton tonight, but I'll get the full results up on the website by 11 pm.

Last Chance Saloon Tomorrow in Nanton

The last regular season tournament of the 2018 schedule goes tomorrow in Nanton with a 9 am shotgun start. For any players in the Calgary and southern Alberta area, this is your last opportunity to both enjoy another McLennan Ross Junior Tour event before heading back to school next week and your last chance to qualify for next Monday's Tour Championship at Wolf Creek. Bossert, Kucy Continue To Roll at Black Bull

Jarrett Bossert of Belvedere and Jayla Kucy of Camrose each won their third McLennan Ross Junior Tour event in the last four tournaments today at Black Bull Golf Resort at Ma-Me-O Beach. Arguably the toughest course the players see all summer on the Tour, Black Bull left several good players mumbling in their milk today, but Bossert and Kucy held up the best. Bossert's 75 was two shots clear of runner-up Josh Robertson of River Ridge, while Kucy won handily over Jenna Sand of Bashaw with her 92. Full results will be on the Tour website by 7 pm this evening.

Titleist Order of Merit Standings Now Up to Date Through Stony Plain

The 2018 Titleist Order of Merit standings are now fully up to date up to and including yesterday's tournament at Stony Plain. With only two regular season events left on the schedule prior to the Tour Championship, the standings are starting to sort themselves out. The McLennan Ross Junior Golf Tour takes great pride in the quality of its competitors, its host facilities, and the support provided by our Corporate Partners. The efforts of the administrative staff and the volunteers that go into making the Tour so successful demand a very high standard of behavior and decorum from the competitors. We have therefore developed a formal Code of Coduct modeled on that of Alberta Golf that provides a set of guidelines for the young men and women that wish to compete in McLennan Ross Junior Golf Tour events.
