Tour Championship Ready To Go!

Aug 25, 2017

"I thought the deadline was Friday",,,,"I thought the deadline was at midnight..." "We just got back from Mars",,,,well OK, no one just got back from Mars,,but we DID have a few players who missed the Thursday noon deadline. We found room to squeeze them all in. The draw will be made on Saturday morning, so players at Wolf Creek for practice rounds on the weekend will at least be able to see who they are playing with on Monday in the Tour Championship. Last count, we were at 110 players registered. Weather forecast is good,,,Wolf Creek is in superb shape and we're ready to go!

Srixon Order of Merit Updated Through Nanton; Wild Card Qualifiers Finalized

Aug 22, 2017

We have calculated the final regular season totals for the 2017 Srixon Order of Merit standings. Please click on the Order of Merit link on the Home Page for the Top Ten in each age division going into the Tour Championship at Wolf Creek on Monday. Three players remain mathematically alive in the flight for boys born in 1998-2000; two in the flight for boys born in 2001/02, but Cole Bergheim and Kaitlyn Wingnean have clinched their divisions, even though Order of Merit points double at Wolf Creek. In the Order of Merit Wild Card standings, Jazz Wiebe of Picture Butte picked up 10 points today and his 60 points gets the Tour Championship Wild Card spot for his age group (sorry, Carter Sawby!). Rylie Seaman of Paradise Canyon gets a spot from the flight for boys born in 2001/02, Jonathan Meng of Windermere gets the Order of Merit Wild Card spot for boys born in 2003 and later, and Sophie Pasitney of St. Paul takes the Order of Merit Tour Championship Wild Card entry for junior girls. All four players will be contacted on Wednesday to get them their Tour Championship entry information. WEDNESDAY, AUG. 23 - 10 a.m. I have reached the family of Sophie Pasitney, left a voicemail for Rylie Seaman but I haven't been able to reach Jazz Wiebe or Jonathan Meng yet this morning. Jazz or Jonathan, if you're reading this, please phone me today at 780.446.5537.....Dunc

Srixon Order of Merit Updated Through Black Bull

Aug 21, 2017

With only one 'regular season' event left on the 2017 McLennan Ross Junior Tour schedule, the races in the Srixon Order of Merit are sorting themselves out. We have updated the standings this morning to include the results from Black Bull last Thursday and we have one new leader in the age groups. Tournament winner at Black Bull Jarrett Bossert has leapfrogged Austin Noskiye to take the lead in the flight for boys born in 1998-2000, but Sikander Kaleka is also in the running in this flight as points double at the Tour Championship. In the flight for boys born in 2001/2002, Cole Ruelling continues to lead the division, but as of today, five players are mathematically alive to win the age group. In the flight for boys born in 2003 and later, Cole Bergheim has all but locked up the flight, as his lead is over 200 points and unless some of his closest competitors show up in Nanton tomorrow, Bergheim could clinch the division before Wolf Creek. In the junior girls' flight, it's OVER! Kaitlyn Wingnean is going to go back-to-back-to-back, as she has a 400 point lead over Brooke Brezovski with only Nanton and Wolf Creek left, and she can't be caught. In the Order of Merit Wild Card category for the final qualifying spots for Wolf Creek, there are no changes. Carter Sawby and Jazz Wiebe have the spots as of today in the flight for boys born in 1998-2000,Rylie Seaman has the spot in the flight for boys born in 2001/02, Jonathan Meng has the spot in the flight for boys born in 2003 and later, and Sophie Pasitney has the lead for the junior girls Order of Merit Wild Card spot. Final results will be updated after tomorrow's tournament in Nanton.
