Rain, Playoff and an Ace at Blackhawk

5:00 p.m. ---We had it all today,,,a drenching midmorning rain, a sudden victory playoff in the Junior Girls division and the 16th Hole in One in Tour history when Taylor Fontaine, 15, smoothed an 8-iron into the hole on the 6th hole this morning. Alanna Jefferis of Belvedere captured the junior girls division in a sudden victory playoff over Rachele Nielsen of Summerland, BC and Connor Grimes of the Edmonton Petroleum Club had the day's low round among the junior boys with a hard-earned 78. Kearney wins in Barrhead,,,

7:05 p.m. ---Brennan Kearney of Fort McMurray ended a great week of junior golf today with a win at the Barrhead Junior Open, firing a fine 1-under par 71 on the beautifully groomed Barrhead GC. Killer "B's" Playoff in Whitecourt

8: 15 p.m. --- It was the Battle of the B's today in Whitecourt as Branton Tessier of the host club hooked up with Brennan Kearney of Fort McMurray in a sudden-victory playoff to decide the Whitecourt Junior Open, today's stop on Tour. Tessier rolled in a 15-footer for birdie on the second hole of overtime for his first Tour win. Full details will be on the website within an hour. 8:50 p.m. --- Full results are now on the website. Kerr, Garrison tops at Pine Hills

7:00 p.m. --Ryan Kerr of Calgary Elks and Sabrine Garrison of Calgary's Country Hills GCC made today's drive to Rocky Mountain House more than worthwhile by capturing the boys' and girls' divisions respectively at the Pine Hills Junior Open. Kerr fired a steady 1-over par 73 while Garrison's 83 was good for a 3-shot margin over Mandy Wong, also of Country Hills. Complete results are now on the website. Next Tour event will be Monday, July 5 at the beautiful Pine Hills GC in Rocky Mountain House. This will be an excellent tune-up for any players that will be competing in the Golf Canada Future Links tournament at Pine Hills later in July. The McLennan Ross Junior Golf Tour takes great pride in the quality of its competitors, its host facilities, and the support provided by our Corporate Partners. The efforts of the administrative staff and the volunteers that go into making the Tour so successful demand a very high standard of behavior and decorum from the competitors. We have therefore developed a formal Code of Coduct modeled on that of Alberta Golf that provides a set of guidelines for the young men and women that wish to compete in McLennan Ross Junior Golf Tour events.
