Sudden Victory at Country Hills
Jul 28, 2015
We had another sudden victory playoff today at the immaculately groomed Country Hills GC for today's Tour stop at the northside Calgary layout. Home course clubmates Josh Lumgair and Matthew Tse tied for first after 18 holes with scores of 2-under par 69, forcing them to head back to the 18th hole for a sudden death playoff. Lumgair got tangled up in the fescue left of the fairway, leaving Tse's par-4 the winning score. Another Country Hills player, Chris Horton, was third with a 74 as the host club swept the podium. In the junior girls' division, Rachel Ung of Earl Grey made her journey across the city very worthwhile as she fired an excellent 76, easily outdistancing runner-up Ehrika Poje of Silver Wing, a distant 2nd with a 90. Full results will be on the Tour website by 8 p.m. this evening.
