Aug 16, 2017

The Srixon Order of Merit standings have been updated to include results from Monday in Stony Plain and Tuesday at Blackhawk. Click on the Order of Merit icon on the Home Page for the latest standings with only two events left prior to the Tour Championship.

Srixon Order of Merit "Wild Card" Qualifiers

Aug 16, 2017

Each year, over 150 players earn their way into the field for the Tour Championship at one of the Tour stops. But for the past several years, we have also awarded a spot out of each age group for that one player who earned the most Order of Merit ranking points throughout the summer without that one day where he or she finished high enough at a particular event to qualify that day. Here are the leaders at this point for those Order of Merit Wild Card spots,,,, More »

Another Sweep for Wingnean and de Graaf at Blackhawk

Aug 15, 2017

Six days ago, Ethan de Graaf of the Royal Mayfair shot 69 to win a McLennan Ross Junior Golf tournament on a superbly conditioned golf course in the southwest part of Edmonton, while Kaitlyn Wingnean of the Derrick won the junior girls' division. This morning, it was deja vu all over again when de Graaf (69 again!) and Wingnean (81 today) duplicated their tag team efforts last Wednesday at the Edmonton Petroleum Club a few miles south at Blackhawk, another spectacular golf course in the southwest part of the city. What a wonderful junior golf experience for the 65 players on hand today. Full results will be on the Tour website by 6 pm this evening. More »

Black Bull Needs Entries NOW!

Aug 14, 2017

I know sometimes junior golfers leave things to the last minute (I'm guilty of that too!) but the Black Bull event is coming up in just over two days and we need some more entries for their event NOW! This is an outstanding golf course, with more than enough challenge for good players and yet playable enough for younger players as well. This will be the last event north of Red Deer for players to qualify for the Tour Championship, plus a really good event in its own right. Kids, please get on the phone first thing on Wednesday and call the course at 1.866.586.2254 to get entered.

Noskiye, Wingnean Win Again in Stony Plain

Aug 14, 2017

Austin Noskiye of the Links at Spruce Grove, and the Derrick's Kaitlyn Wingnean both continued their sterling run of solid play in recent weeks with victories today at the Stony Plain Junior Open. Noskiye channelled Graham DeLaet's blistering back nine at the PGA Championship on Saturday with two eagles of his own today on his last four holes to run down Justin Berget of the host club. Noskiye's even-par 72 was a single shot better than Berget's effort. Wingnean expanded her lead in the Srixon Order of Merit standings for junior girls with another win today, firing a solid 78 over the beautifully groomed Stony Plain layout. Complete results will be up on the Tour website by 10 p.m. this evening.
