Ponoka Jr Open Leads Off Busy Week on Tour

Jul 18, 2016

The Ponoka Jr Open led off a busy 4-events-in-4-days week on the McLennan Ross Junior Golf Tour today. After rain and lightning delays every tournament last week, the warm sunny skies were a welcome relief this morning in Ponoka, one of the charter memebers of the Tour dating back to our first year in 1996. The course was in its usual superb condition, with exceptionally fast greens challenging and sometimes frustrating the competitors. At the conclusion of play, Jordan Williamson of Balmoral's 78 and the 86 fired by Alyshia Suleman of the Royal Mayfair were each good enough for one-stroke margins of victory in the boys and girls divisions respectively. Full results will be on the Tour website by 6 p.m. today. PLEASE NOTE!!!! Monday, July 18 5:40 p.m. Today's Results are now online but in this News Item, NOT in the Latest Results window.
