Srixon Order of Merit Standings Now Online

Now that we have four tournaments in the books for this year, we have loaded the results for the Srixon Order of Merit standings through the Barrhead event last week. We will update the standings weekly from here until the end of the season. Click on the Order of Merit icon in the Main Menu for the latest updates.

Innisfail, Lacombe Up Next on Tour

The Tour swings back into action on Tuesday, July 5th in Innisfail and again on Wednesday, July 6th in Lacombe for two of the longest-running events on the McLennan Ross Junior Golf Tour. Innisfail is hosting the Sun Life Financial Alberta Men's Amateur championship in a couple of weeks and from all reports, the course is in fantastic condition. We also expect a terrific event in Lacombe on Wednesday next week. Entries are still open for both events. Tee times in Innisfail will be a cross-over starting at 11 a.m. and the Lacombe tournament will be a shotgun start at 9.

Aces Wild in Barrhead!

Two holes-in-one, two worthy champions, a LOT of interesting rulings, and one 90-minute lightning and rain delay, but we got 'er done today in Barrhead. Kaiden Nicholson of the Edmonton CC and Hailey Turcotte of the Mighty Peace GC in Peace River won their respective divisions today, and two players made aces as well! Full results will be on the website by 9 p.m. this evening.

Nick Rimmer Wins at Age 13! Turcotte Take Girls' Division in Whitecourt

Nick Zimmer of the Derrick Golf and Winter Club became one of only a handful of players aged 13 or less to win a McLennan Ross Junior Tour event today in Whitecourt. Rimmer, who won't turn 14 until November, fired a steady 4-over par 76 today on the tight, tree-lined fairways and immaculate greens of the Whitecourt GCC to edge Austin Noskiye of The Links of Spruce Grove and Sam Hamelin of Pheasanback by a single shot. In the junior girls' division, Hailey Turcotte of the Mighty Peaces GC shot an 88 to win her flight. Full results will be on the website by 8 p.m. this evening

The McLennan Ross Junior Golf Tour takes great pride in the quality of its competitors, its host facilities, and the support provided by our Corporate Partners. The efforts of the administrative staff and the volunteers that go into making the Tour so successful demand a very high standard of behavior and decorum from the competitors. We have therefore developed a formal Code of Coduct modeled on that of Alberta Golf that provides a set of guidelines for the young men and women that wish to compete in McLennan Ross Junior Golf Tour events.
