Olds Tournament Schedule Change

Mar 23, 2016

We have a schedule change to announce. We have moved the date of the Olds Junior Open from Tuesday, August 23rd to Wednesday, July 13th. This will make a nice run through Calgary and area with Turner Valley on Monday,July 11th and Carstairs on Tuesday, July 12th leading up to the Olds event on Wednesday, July 13th. We realize that these three McLennan Ross Tour events are going up against the Alberta Golf Junior Championships on that week at Cottonwood GCC in Calgary, but this will also give many of the juniors who don't qualify for provincials some excellent competitive opportunities as well.

Will Bateman Wins PGA Tour Latino America Event!

Oct 06, 2015

Will Bateman of Edmonton is still the youngest player to have ever won a McLennan Ross Junior Tour event, when he captured the Goose Hummock Jr Open at age 11. Now having just turned 22, Will became one of the youngest-ever winners on PGA Tour Latino America over the weekend in Santiago, Chile, firing a 72-hole total of 24-under par to win by a single shot. Bateman earned $31,500 US from the $175K purse to move into 8th place on the PGA Tour Latino America Order of Merit. With 6 events left on their 2015 schedule, Bateman is within sight of finishing in the top 5 and earning status on the 2016 Tour, as is done with PGA Tour Mackenzie Tour Canada players. Bateman's game has been rounding into shape on the South American tour, and his first major professional win in Chile was the first-ever on that circuit by a Canadian. Congratulations, Will, even though I still want to call you Wilson!

Code of Conduct

The McLennan Ross Junior Golf Tour takes great pride in the quality of its competitors, its host facilities, and the support provided by our Corporate Partners. The efforts of the administrative staff and the volunteers that go into making the Tour so successful demand a very high standard of behavior and decorum from the competitors. We have therefore developed a formal Code of Coduct modeled on that of Alberta Golf that provides a set of guidelines for the young men and women that wish to compete in McLennan Ross Junior Golf Tour events.
