One Down, 25 To Go!

May 31, 2014

The 2014 McLennan Ross Junior Golf Tour got off to a fine start today in Drayton Valley, as the host clubs Matt McCourt fired an even-par 71 to defend his 2013 Drayton Junior Open title. McCourt was steady throughout his round and his margin of victory was a bit deceiving as runner-up Chandler McLaren of Wolf Creek had a rare 2-2 eagle-birdie finish to close with a rush on 2-over par 73. Clayton Dunn of Drayton Valley finished 3rd with a 75, while Cassidy Couture of Country Hills in Calgary was best among the junior girls on hand today with a 94. Full results are now on the website.
