Vandermey, Sutton Kick Season Off With Wins in Drayton

Jun 06, 2015

The 20th Anniversary Season for the McLennan Ross Junior Golf Tour kicked off today with the Drayton Valley Junior Open, the first of 26 events on the 2015 Tour schedule. Spencer Vandermey of Lewis Estates and D'arci Sutton of Royal Mayfair were the first junior boy and junior girl to earn their way into the 2015 Tour Championship with their wins today. Vandermey's 2-over par 73 was one shot clear of his twin brother Nick and Austin Noskiye of The Links at Spruce Grove, with Ethan deGraaf of Royal Mayfair another stroke back in solo fourth on 75. Only 2 junior girls were on hand, but Sutton's 99 was still good enough to punch her ticket to the Tour Championship at Wolf Creek on August 31. Full results are now on the website as of 9 p.m. on Saturday evening. Please go to the 2015 Tour Schedule and click on "results" on the right hand side of the listing for Drayton Valley for the full story of today's event.

The McLennan Ross Junior Golf Tour takes great pride in the quality of its competitors, its host facilities, and the support provided by our Corporate Partners. The efforts of the administrative staff and the volunteers that go into making the Tour so successful demand a very high standard of behavior and decorum from the competitors.
