Srixon Order of Merit Updated Through Olds

Jul 25, 2015

The Srixon Order of Merit standings have now been updated to include last week's two events in Turner Valley and Carstairs. The Olds tournament on Wednesday was cancelled due to inclement weather. At almost the halfway mark of the 2015 season, all three boys' divisions are being led by juniors from Lacombe! Jeremy Rietze is paving the way in the flight for boys born in 1996-98, Chase Broderson is out front in the flight for boys born in 1999/2000, and Brady McKinlay took over first place this week in the flight for boys born in 2001 and later. Compliments to Head Professional Kevin Broderson and his staff in Lacombe for their excellent junior program. In the junior girls division, 2014 Order of Merit winner Clare McMahon is still in 1st place but several girls are within striking distance with just over half the regular season to go. Check the Order of Merit standings to see the Top Ten in each age group.

Jul 25, 2015

Saturday, July 25th. 11:15 a.m. - I just got off the phone with Head Pro Rick Eichele at Canmore. He has less than 6 spots still open for Monday's event, so call NOW if you want to get in. It would be criminal to miss this tournament if you leave it too long to phone.

Weather Turns Ugly; Olds Tournament Cancelled

Jul 22, 2015

It was a dark and stormy afternoon. For the second day in a row, we had some severe weather, including lightning, hail and rain, but unlike yesterday's Carstairs Tour stop a little south on Highway 2A, today's event in Olds was unable to get restarted after inclement weather forced us to bring the kids in off the course after about 90 minutes of competition. We are sorry we were unable to complete play today, but it just wasn't safe to do so. The Tour gets back in gear next week with four events in and around the Calgary area.

Code of Conduct

The McLennan Ross Junior Golf Tour takes great pride in the quality of its competitors, its host facilities, and the support provided by our Corporate Partners. The efforts of the administrative staff and the volunteers that go into making the Tour so successful demand a very high standard of behavior and decorum from the competitors. We have therefore developed a formal Code of Coduct modeled on that of Alberta Golf that provides a set of guidelines for the young men and women that wish to compete in McLennan Ross Junior Golf Tour events.
