Trestle Creek the new "Star" on Tour!

Aug 14, 2014

For the first time in our 19-year history, the McLennan Ross Junior Tour held an event on a 9-hole golf course, and after today's tournament at Trestle Creek Golf and RV Resort near Entwistle, the question must be asked: "What TOOK us so long?" Head Professional Adam Pederson and his team did an incredible job in their organization and presentation of their golf course, and the 27 kids on hand today were treated like royalty. Justin Berget of Stony Plain capped off a sensational week with another win today, firing a 1-over par 73, one shot ahead of Zach Thys of The Links at Spruce Grove. Full results will be on the website by 8:30 p.m. this evening.

Allred is All RIght at the Pete Club

Aug 13, 2014

Keaton Allred of The Quarry sunk a 6-foot birdie putt on the 1st extra hole of a sudden victory playoff today to capture the 2nd annual Edmonton Petroleum Club Junior Classic. Allred and Kolby Vold of Wolf Creek had tied over the 18 holes of regulation play with even-par 72s. On the Junior Girls' side, Kassidy Turcotte of High Prairie duplicated her score of 80 from yesterday in Whitecourt, and once again it was good enough for a win, 6 shots clear of Alicia Easthope of Sandpiper. Full results from this terrific junior golf tournament will be on the Tour website by 4 p.m. today.

The (Double) Eagle Has Landed!

Aug 12, 2014

Justin Berget of Stony Plain made only the third double-eagle albatross in Tour history today in Whitecourt en route to posting a 1-under par 71 to capture the Whitecourt Junior Open. Berget needed every shot as the host club's Colton Ulrich fired a career-low 74 for 2nd place with Branton Tessier of Whitecourt and Zach Thys of The Links at Spruce Grove T3 on 75. Full results will be on the website by 9:30 p.m. this evening.

Code of Conduct

The McLennan Ross Junior Golf Tour takes great pride in the quality of its competitors, its host facilities, and the support provided by our Corporate Partners. The efforts of the administrative staff and the volunteers that go into making the Tour so successful demand a very high standard of behavior and decorum from the competitors. We have therefore developed a formal Code of Coduct modeled on that of Alberta Golf that provides a set of guidelines for the young men and women that wish to compete in McLennan Ross Junior Golf Tour events.
