Pinebrook Entries Now Closed

Aug 05, 2013

Monday, August 5 - 5:00 p.m. Entries for the Kevin Hipple Memorial Junior Open on Wednesday at Pinebrook GCC are now closed. The club is doing their best to juggle several last minute entries in with the demands of their membership for the other tee times available at the course for the 8 a.m. Wednesday shotgun start. To those players who ARE confirmed in the field for Wednesday, we thank you and we look forward to seeing you on Wednesday. To those that were unable to get in before entries closed, we thank you for your interest in the tournament but if you left it too late to get into the event, that's unfortunate.

Srixon Order of Merit Updated Through Strathmore

Aug 02, 2013

The Srixon Order of Merit standings have been updated through yesterday's tournament in Strathmore. The tightest battle is in the flight for boys born in 1994-96, with only 125 points separating leader Alex Phillip of Montgomery Glen from a multi-way tie for 8th place. Sikander Kaleka of Stony Plain had a good week in the Calgary area and has widened his lead in the flight for boys born in 1997-98. In the flight for boys born in 1999 and later, Korbin Allan of Strathmore has taken over the lead from the Derrick's Brock Chelle, but 6 of the last 7 events on the Tour prior to the Tour Championship are north of Red Deer, so this might give Brock an edge to pile up more points before Wolf Creek, where points are doubled. In the Junior Girls division, someone is going to have to get red hot to catch 2012 Order of Merit winner Emily Creaser, who has opened a 420 point lead over Claire Emery of Glencoe.

Code of Conduct

The McLennan Ross Junior Golf Tour takes great pride in the quality of its competitors, its host facilities, and the support provided by our Corporate Partners. The efforts of the administrative staff and the volunteers that go into making the Tour so successful demand a very high standard of behavior and decorum from the competitors. We have therefore developed a formal Code of Coduct modeled on that of Alberta Golf that provides a set of guidelines for the young men and women that wish to compete in McLennan Ross Junior Golf Tour events.
