Date Change for the "Kevin Hipple" at Pinebrook

Apr 22, 2014

The Kevin Hipple Memorial Junior Open has long been one of the Calgary area's major junior events, going back over 25 years. For the 2014 season, organizers at Pinebrook GCC in Calgary have changed the date of the "Hipple" to Wednesday, July 30th from its original date of Wednesday, August 6th. It will still be an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start, but this now avoids a conflict with an MJT event at McKenzie Meadows in the first week of August.

New Event Added at Trestle Creek Golf Resort

Mar 17, 2014

We are pleased to announce a new event for the 2014 season of the McLennan Ross Junior Golf Tour! Trestle Creek Golf Resort, located about 40 miles west of the Edmonton city limits just south of the Yellowhead Highway, will host a Tour event on Thursday, August 14th. This will be the first time the Tour has ever hosted an event on a 9-hole golf course, but we are very confident the tournament will be a big success. Head Professional at Trestle Creek is Adam Peterson, who competed extensively on the Tour as a junior golfer, so Adam and his staff know what it takes to make a junior tournament run well. Welcome to Trestle Creek!

McKenzie Meadows Added, Drayton Valley and Black Bull Date Changes

Jan 13, 2014

We are pleased to announce the addition of McKenzie Meadows GC in Calgary to the 2014 Tour schedule. McKenzie Meadows took a one year sabbatical from the Tour last year because of the flood damage the course suffered last June, but from all reports, they are back better than ever, with damage fully repaired. The course did open again in August last year and we fully expect them to be in excellent condition again for their event on August 18, 2014. More »

Code of Conduct

The McLennan Ross Junior Golf Tour takes great pride in the quality of its competitors, its host facilities, and the support provided by our Corporate Partners. The efforts of the administrative staff and the volunteers that go into making the Tour so successful demand a very high standard of behavior and decorum from the competitors. We have therefore developed a formal Code of Coduct modeled on that of Alberta Golf that provides a set of guidelines for the young men and women that wish to compete in McLennan Ross Junior Golf Tour events.
