New Event Added at Trestle Creek Golf Resort

Mar 17, 2014

We are pleased to announce a new event for the 2014 season of the McLennan Ross Junior Golf Tour! Trestle Creek Golf Resort, located about 40 miles west of the Edmonton city limits just south of the Yellowhead Highway, will host a Tour event on Thursday, August 14th. This will be the first time the Tour has ever hosted an event on a 9-hole golf course, but we are very confident the tournament will be a big success. Head Professional at Trestle Creek is Adam Peterson, who competed extensively on the Tour as a junior golfer, so Adam and his staff know what it takes to make a junior tournament run well. Welcome to Trestle Creek!

McKenzie Meadows Added, Drayton Valley and Black Bull Date Changes

Jan 13, 2014

We are pleased to announce the addition of McKenzie Meadows GC in Calgary to the 2014 Tour schedule. McKenzie Meadows took a one year sabbatical from the Tour last year because of the flood damage the course suffered last June, but from all reports, they are back better than ever, with damage fully repaired. The course did open again in August last year and we fully expect them to be in excellent condition again for their event on August 18, 2014. More »

Jennifer Ha Wins 2nd Tournament of the Fall

Oct 04, 2013

Jennifer Ha of Calgary, who won the 2011 Tour Championship, is having a great fall season competing for the Kent State Golden Flashes women's golf team. Ha is two-for-two at tournaments on the Flashes' fall schedule, having captured events in Minnesota two weeks ago, and last week at an event hosted by Penn State University. She was named the Mid-American Conference Golfer of the Week for her 4-under par 212 total that captured the Penn State event by four strokes. Ha and her Kent State teammates are in Norman OK this weekend for their final tournament of the fall schedule. Good luck to Jennifer and the rest of the Kent State team.

Year End Wrap Up

Aug 31, 2013

It has been a whirlwind week since the Tour Championship on Monday. I have been in Calgary the last couple of days checking out The Champions Tour event at Canyon Meadows, but came back to Edmonton today for my mom's 92nd birthday. She got me started in golf when I was 11, and was a pretty good player herself back in the day, so Happy Birthday, Mom! I have updated the Srixon Order of Merit standings with the Top 20 in each age group after the conclusion of the Tour Championship. Here are some comments and observations from the 2013 season..... Code of Conduct

The McLennan Ross Junior Golf Tour takes great pride in the quality of its competitors, its host facilities, and the support provided by our Corporate Partners. The efforts of the administrative staff and the volunteers that go into making the Tour so successful demand a very high standard of behavior and decorum from the competitors. We have therefore developed a formal Code of Coduct modeled on that of Alberta Golf that provides a set of guidelines for the young men and women that wish to compete in McLennan Ross Junior Golf Tour events.
