Lubberding Goes Low; Creaser Wins Two in a Row!

Jul 17, 2013

Hey, that headline rhymes! Noah Lubberding of the Royal Mayfair shot a 4-under par 68 today at the Montgomery Glen GC in Wetaskiwin to win today's stop on Tour. It was the low round of the year on Tour, 5 shots ahead of runner-up Alex Phillip of the host club, and was Lubberding's first win of the season. On the girls' side, Emily Creaser of the Derrick won for the second day in a row after capturing the Whitetail Crossing tournament yesterday. Creaser's 79 was one shot clear of Katie Griffiths of River Bend in Red Deer. Full results will be on the website by 7 p.m. this evening.

Ponoka Re-Scheduled; Whitetail Crossing Still a "GO"

Jul 15, 2013

Monday, July 15, 1:30 p.m. --Can't fight Mother Nature. For the second time in three years, we have had to re-schedule the Ponoka Junior Open due to inclement weather conditions. A solid field of 65 juniors from across Alberta, including 14 junior girls, was on hand this morning in Ponoka, but just as the 9 a.m. shotgun rang out to start play, the skies opened again and drenched the kids and the golf course. Already soaked from heavy overnight rains, the Ponoka layout just could not absorb any more water and greens started to pool up and fairways were essentially one big area of casual water. We have re-scheduled the tournament to Monday, August 19th. We have phoned the tournament organizers at Whitetail Crossing GC at Mundare, site of tomorrow's event, and all systems are a "GO". They have had no rain yet today, and the course is in terrific shape. The club will accept last minute entries up to 5 p.m. this afternoon for any late comers. See everyone tomorrow in Mundare.

Code of Conduct

The McLennan Ross Junior Golf Tour takes great pride in the quality of its competitors, its host facilities, and the support provided by our Corporate Partners. The efforts of the administrative staff and the volunteers that go into making the Tour so successful demand a very high standard of behavior and decorum from the competitors. We have therefore developed a formal Code of Coduct modeled on that of Alberta Golf that provides a set of guidelines for the young men and women that wish to compete in McLennan Ross Junior Golf Tour events.
