He Hit It Pretty Well! Results Online Under "Innisfail"

Mack Pretty of Priddis Greens fired a 3-under par 69 this morning to capture the McKenzie Meadows stop on Tour, earning his way into next Monday's Tour Championship in the process. Devon Spriddle of Henderson Lake came out on top of the Junior Girls' division with a fine 75, also punching her ticket to Wolf Creek. With tomorrow's event in Coyote Creek having been cancelled ( see adjoining News Item) I have returned to Edmonton, going to grab some supper and will have the full results of today's tournament on the website by 9 pm this evening,,,,Dunc... PS,,Full results are now online,,under INNISFAIL, not McKenzie Meadows. I didn't realize I had entered the results under the wrong event's name until too late, and I'm not going to change it now! LOL

Srixon Order of Merit Updated Thru Black Bull

The Srixon Order of Merit standings have now been updated through the tournament at Black Bull. The Top Ten and ties in each age division are listed and races are especially tight in the two flights for boys born in 1993-95 and 1996-97. Emily Creaser of the Derrick has clinched the Srixon Order of Merit for Junior Girls. Vandermey Fires Sensational Round at Black Bull

Nick Vandermey of Lewis Estates fired an amazing 2-under par 71 this morning to easily win the Black Bull Junior Open, today's stop on Tour. Black Bull is arguably the most difficult course on the McLennan Ross Sun Junior Golf Tour, and the 52 players on hand today can certainly attest to that! Emily Creaser of the Derrick was the only junior girl on hand today able to break 100 on the challenging Black Bull layout. Full results will be on the website by 8:30 p.m. this evening.

Thomas Takes Playoff in Olds; Hughes Best in Girls Division

Jacob Thomas of the Edmonton CC birdied the first extra hole of a sudden victory playoff today to capture the Olds Junior Open and his first Tour Title. Thomas, 14, and Logan Hill of Red Deer had tied for low gross overall with 77s on the slick Olds greens, but Thomas's 3-footer for birdie on the 1st extra hole took down the championship. Kenna Hughes of Willow Park fired an 83 to come out on top of a field of nine junior girls on hand today. Now to update the website from both today's event and yesterday's tournament in Whitecourt. Full results from both will be on the website by 9:30 pm this evening.

The McLennan Ross Junior Golf Tour takes great pride in the quality of its competitors, its host facilities, and the support provided by our Corporate Partners. The efforts of the administrative staff and the volunteers that go into making the Tour so successful demand a very high standard of behavior and decorum from the competitors. We have therefore developed a formal Code of Coduct modeled on that of Alberta Golf that provides a set of guidelines for the young men and women that wish to compete in McLennan Ross Junior Golf Tour events.
