Triple Overtime Thriller in Mundare!

Jul 18, 2017

For the third time in the last four McLennan Ross Junior Golf Tour events, a sudden-victory playoff was necessary to declare a winner! This afternoon at Whitetail Crossing GC in Mundare, Austin Noskiye of The Links at Spruce Grove outlasted Stony Plain's Sikander Kaleka on the third extra hole to capture his first Tour event of the season. Both players had chances to win in the playoff, but Noskiye's par on their third tour of the 18th hole in the playoff finally ended proceedings. In the Junior Girls' division, 11-year-old Jayla Kacy of Camrose, fresh off her first appearance in the Sun Life Alberta Ladies Championship last week in Red Deer, fired a fine 83 to win Low Gross honours. Full details of today's tournament, along with other Tour news, will be on the website by 6:30 p.m. tonight.

Country Hills Registration Information

Jul 16, 2017

The Country Hills Junior Open has become one of the 'major' events on the McLennan Ross Junior Tour since its inception about 6 or 7 years ago. The club always does a fantastic job of organizing the event, which is coming up on Tuesday, July 25th. We have been having some technical problems with the online registration link on the Tour website, which we expect will be rectified on Monday this week, but in the interim, players may register by phoning the golf course at 403.226.7777 and ask for Quinn Powell, who is looking after the Junior Open this year during the maternity leave of their Junior Coordinator, Lauren Brescasin. The club needs to know this week how many kids will be playing, so PLEASE do not miss the opportunity to get signed up for this outstanding junior golf tournament.

Code of Conduct

The McLennan Ross Junior Golf Tour takes great pride in the quality of its competitors, its host facilities, and the support provided by our Corporate Partners. The efforts of the administrative staff and the volunteers that go into making the Tour so successful demand a very high standard of behavior and decorum from the competitors. We have therefore developed a formal Code of Coduct modeled on that of Alberta Golf that provides a set of guidelines for the young men and women that wish to compete in McLennan Ross Junior Golf Tour events.
