Back from Grande Prairie and Whitecourt

Jul 25, 2012

Back in the office in Edmonton this morning after the rain-shortened Grande Prairie event and the postponement of what was to be today's tournament in Whitecourt. I see an email in my Inbox from the GP course with the results of yesterday's tournament, as circumstances were such that I had to leave the Grande Prairie course prior to the conclusion of yesterday's round to return to Edmonton. I should have the results up on the website by 11 a.m. today....10:28 a.m. Full results now online!

Rain and Storms! Grande Prairie shortened, Whitecourt re-scheduled!

Jul 24, 2012

The first round of the Grande Prairie Jr Open was rained out yesterday after heavy rains and lightning made the GP course unplayable and unsafe for the kids. We have shortened the event to 18 holes with the Long Drive contest set for 9 am today and first tee times at 10:00. Hope it stays dry! Also, we just got a phone call from the Whitecourt course. They had a wicked storm overnight, with upwards of 50 trees blown over and the course looks like a bomb hit it! They will be closed for at least two days, so we have re-scheduled their Junior Open to Tuesday, August 14. Sorry about that kids, but we can't fight Mother Nature!

Code of Conduct

The McLennan Ross Junior Golf Tour takes great pride in the quality of its competitors, its host facilities, and the support provided by our Corporate Partners. The efforts of the administrative staff and the volunteers that go into making the Tour so successful demand a very high standard of behavior and decorum from the competitors. We have therefore developed a formal Code of Coduct modeled on that of Alberta Golf that provides a set of guidelines for the young men and women that wish to compete in McLennan Ross Junior Golf Tour events.
