The Innisfail Jr Open goes tomorrow at the always beautifully conditioned central Alberta layout. We are looking forward to a good event with the kids who are not entered in the Alberta Golf Junior Boys and Girls Championship also on this week in Sundre. PLEASE NOTE!! We have been advised by Pinebrook GCC that there will be tee times off the first tee next Monday, July 9th commencing at 7:30 a.m. NOT a 9 a.m. shotgun as we had previously understood. The club will have the actual tee times for the players by next Sunday.

Innisfail Junior Open Coming Up Tuesday

Jun 29, 2018

Next event on the McLennan Ross Junior Golf Tour will be the Innisfail Junior Open set for Tuesday, July 3rd. Innisfail is one of the best courses in Alberta and hosted the Sun Life Financial Alberta Men's Amateur Championship just a couple of years ago. Yes, I know this event is opposite the Alberta Golf Junior Boys and Girls Championships going on next week in Sundre, but what a great opportunity for those juniors not entered in provincials to get to compete on a top calibre golf course! Entries are open,,,call Innisfail today to enter! It will be an 11 a.m. crossover start, so players coming from a bit of distance won't have to get up before dawn!

Shannon Snags First Tour Win in Barrhead

Jun 28, 2018

The McLennan Ross Junior Golf Tour swung back into action today at the beautifully groomed Barrhead Golf Club. One of the pleasures of running a junior golf tour is to see young players reach new plateaus in their development and today was one of those days. Jace Shannon, 14, of Forestburg, captured his first Tour title by besting over 30 juniors from as far away as Peace River, Camrose and several clubs from around the Edmonton area. Shannon's 78 was a single shot clear of Mitch Desjarlais of Broadmoor GC in Sherwood Park, with Zach Zabot of Eagle Point GC in Wabasca alone in third on 80. Full results will be on the Tour website by 9:15 this evening.
