Frtiz and Heyns Repeat at Henderson Lake

Jun 27, 2011

Jason Fritz of Henderson Lake and Mieke Heyns of Lethbridge Country Club both successfully defended their 2010 Henerson Lake Junior Open titles on Sunday at the windswept Lethbridge layout. Steady strong winds and frequent rain showers made scoring conditions difficult, which made Fritz' and Heyns' scoring even more impressive. Full results are now online in the Results section.

It's Spring! FINALLY!!!

Apr 26, 2011

With the heavy winter snowfall and the cool temperatures so far this spring, it is a late start to the golf season. Courses in southern Alberta are opening, but it will be few days yet before many courses north of Red Deer have dried out sufficiently to get going. But the Tour is all set for our 16th season! First event is on Sunday, May 15th in Golden, BC which promises to be a great way to get the season started. First Alberta event will be at Drayton Valley on Saturday, June 11th, which will be an excellent tuneup for any junior boys planning on competing in the 2011 Frank Lindsay Alberta Junior Boys' Championship from July 5-8. Watch the Tour site soon for information on our new Facebook page!

Barrhead Date Now Set

Feb 14, 2011

We have set the date for the Barrhead Junior Open, which will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2011. The event is one week earlier than in previous years, as Alberta Golf has moved the Alberta Junior Boys and Junior Girls Championships into the first week of July this year. In order to avoid a direct conflict with the Alberta Junior, we have rescheduled events out of the first week of July. Kids get out of school by June 29th across the province, which will leave the Barrhead event on June 30th as an excellent tuneup for the following week's Alberta Junior Championships.

Code of Conduct

The McLennan Ross Junior Golf Tour takes great pride in the quality of its competitors, its host facilities, and the support provided by our Corporate Partners. The efforts of the administrative staff and the volunteers that go into making the Tour so successful demand a very high standard of behavior and decorum from the competitors. We have therefore developed a formal Code of Coduct modeled on that of Alberta Golf that provides a set of guidelines for the young men and women that wish to compete in McLennan Ross Junior Golf Tour events.
