Austin Noskiye of the Links at Spruce Grove is making a case for Player of the Year on the McLennan Ross Junior Golf Tour, Presented by Crowe MacKay.  Noskiye bagged his fourth win of the season on the Tour today, doing his best imitation of Graham DeLaet's blistering run on the back nine at the PGA Championship from the weekend.  Noskiye was muddling along a few strokes back of the host club's Justin Berget when he dunked a lob wedge for an eagle deuce on the par-4 13th hole, and followed that up two holes later with a drive-hybrid-15-footer eagle on the par-5 15th. One hole later, when their group finished their round on the 16th green in the shotgun start, Austin's even-par 72 was a single shot clear of Berget.  Berget's clubmate Sikander Kaleka and Chase Bodoano of Broadmoor tied for third on 76.

This late in the season, with only a handful of events left prior to the Tour Championship coming up two weeks from today at Wolf Creek GR, there are several players in each age group who have previously qualified for the Tour Championship.  As a result, we had to go down the list a bit today in some of the flights to identify the new qualifiers for Wolf Creek. Jaydon Schultz of Gilwood GC in Slave Lake and Jason Kim from Lloydminster each earned a spot at Wolf Creek with 80s in the flight for boys born in 1998-2000 with Scott Mohler of Windermere snagging a Wild Card spot from that flight with an 82.  Kim left the golf club before we had a chance to get his information to him about the Tour Championship, so Jason, if you are reading this, please contact me,,,,,Dunc Mills.

Other new qualifiers today were Nick Mazar (82) of Stony Plain from the flight for boys born in 2001/2002 and Evan Couch of the Glendale who cruised around the course in only 77 blows, low score from the flight for  boys born in 2003 and later.

Defending Srixon Order of Merit winner from 2016, Kaitlyn Wingnean of the Derrick GWC, took home another Tour win today, with a fine 78, three shots ahead of Brooke Brezovski of Sturgeon Valley, with Kennedy Turcotte (85) of High Prairie nailing down her spot in the Tour Championship, along with girls' Wild Card qualifier Danielle Stannard of Highlands GC.

Only three events now remain on the Tour prior to the Tour Championship, including another 'major' event tomorrow at Edmonton's Blackhawk GC.  We have nearly 70 players registered for tomorrow's 8:30 a.m. shotgun start and we are looking forward to another outstanding junior golf tournament in the morning.  See you there!

Q = Player qualified for the Tour Championship at Wolf Creek GR on August 28th.

WC = Wild Card qualifier for Tour Championship.

PQ = Player had previously qualified for Tour Championship.

The players listed in the results section are the Top Six and ties in each age group, thereby earning Srixon Order of Merit ranking points.  This is not a full list of every player who competed today,.

Code of Conduct

The McLennan Ross Junior Golf Tour takes great pride in the quality of its competitors, its host facilities, and the support provided by our Corporate Partners. The efforts of the administrative staff and the volunteers that go into making the Tour so successful demand a very high standard of behavior and decorum from the competitors. We have therefore developed a formal Code of Coduct modeled on that of Alberta Golf that provides a set of guidelines for the young men and women that wish to compete in McLennan Ross Junior Golf Tour events.
