Head Pro Mike McEvay at Goose Hummock does a tremendous job in organizing the 36-hole Goose Hummock Junior Open.  He makes things fun for the players, and their prize table is quite frankly unmatched on the Tour over the course of the  summer.  Every player goes home with something, from draw prizes to plenty of KPs, to the Horse Race Winners to you name it.  Great job, Mike!

Cole Ruelling of Lewis Estates continued his great play lately, firing back-to-back 3-under par 68s to breeze to a 12-shot margin of victory of Josh Salcedo of Jagare Ridge. Salcedo was only 2 shots back after Thursday's first round, but no one could keep pace with Ruelling's 6 birdie, 3-bogey effort this morning.  Surprisingly, the Goose Hummock course  was spared the rains that fell extensively in and around the city this morning.  While the Oil Country Championship across town at the Pete Club was getting drenched this morning, the kids at Goose Hummock breezed around without so much as  a drop.

New qualifiers for the Tour Championship today were Evan Couch (173) from the flight for players born in 2004 and later, Josh Salceda (148) from the flight for boys born in 1999-2001, Owen Lai (158) of the host club, and Wild Card qualifiers  Kyle Racich (162) of the Glendale and Hayden Prins (165) from Goose Hummock.

Next week sees three big events on the Tour:  Tuesday in Ponoka for one of the four remaining charter members of the Tour, the "major" feeling Edmonton Petroleum GCC event on Wednesday coming  on the heels of their club hosting this week's Mackenzie Tour PGA Tour Canada Oil Country Championship and out west to Entwistle on Thursday for the tournament at Trestle Creek Golf and RV Resort.  Entries are open for all three of these tournaments at the Tour heads down the home stretch of the 2018 season.

Code of Conduct

The McLennan Ross Junior Golf Tour takes great pride in the quality of its competitors, its host facilities, and the support provided by our Corporate Partners. The efforts of the administrative staff and the volunteers that go into making the Tour so successful demand a very high standard of behavior and decorum from the competitors. We have therefore developed a formal Code of Coduct modeled on that of Alberta Golf that provides a set of guidelines for the young men and women that wish to compete in McLennan Ross Junior Golf Tour events.
